Ok so I know a few of these are signs and landscape but it was a really cool view. Pikes peak drive goes up several thousand feet to some pretty crazy switchbacks and when you get to the top it is breathtaking any of you who want to visit we will do this drive if you want to and if you are really pumped we can hike it or there is a third option and that is the tram. We drove since it was a last minute decision after we went to Garden of the Gods that day. . . notice none of us are in jackets (it was so cold!) we had to buy Katie a sweatshirt and wrap Brooklyn in an army shirt of Travis' we had in the back of the van (poor rocket has not recovered from the drive). You Pass a beautiful lake on the drive and can even get a picture with "Big Foot". Travis got a bit of elevation sickness while up at the top. Someone was getting married there that day if you are wondering about the random photo of strangers, it made me giggle. On a side note they do a races on this drive every year with several different types of vehicles. America the Beautiful was actually written after the women visited the top of Pikes peak.
